Christmas is supposed to be a time for peace and joyful family reunions. But when Matt and his wife Karen show up unannounced at the home of his estranged brother Steve to celebrate the holidays, they are instead greeted with a horrifying surprise: trapped in the basement is a man. 典型的短片创意扯成一部长片，80分钟充满了各种无意义的假“凝视”镜头，很浪费时间；让魔鬼通过猜疑去左右人心，但观众没有参与感，这所谓的悬念其实也是累赘的，三个角色又完全没能挖掘出更多关系上的矛盾与冲突，也就造成了和这个早已揭示谜底的悬念耗着的干涩观影体验。最后的反转带来的惊喜也仅仅是完成了创作者对“邪恶不可貌相”的主题的表达，至于观众，早就不关心结果了
